Patient Representative: Marg Redlick

Supporting the Hematology Disease Site Committee

Resides in Grande Prairie, AB | CCTG Patient Representative since 2015

"After my experiences, my passion to advocate for patients and help them navigate through the healthcare system, and provide a voice for those who cannot or choose not to speak for themselves has become a very important component in my life."

Marg is a passionate Patient Representative because of her personal experiences as the caregiver for immediate family members diagnosed with different types of lymphatic cancers. As a caregiver, Marg’s journey through the healthcare system has been card card-body bg-light well traveled, beginning with her mother who battled Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Marg assisted her through the entire length of her journey.  Next, her husband was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. Although he was successfully treated, his long battle was life changing for them both. Finally, she assisted her brother during his own battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Her unique experiences with Leukemia led her to make the decision to join the Canadian Cancer Trials Group and volunteer to bring the patient voice to the  Hematology Disease Site Committee.
