Canadian Cancer Trials Group Publications

As information about published study results becomes known, it will be available via the links below and announced in the CCTG Connection Newsletter. Both Canadian Cancer Trials Group and Intergroup led trials for which there has been at least one publication are included. If you do not find a particular study, this is likely because the final results are not yet available since many of our studies follow the health of participants for several years. We also suggest using PubMed, a free searchable database of research citations and abstracts.

If you are looking for a specific CCTG trial please refer to the study's protocol and informed consent document or visit http://www.clinicaltrials.gov for further information about when the final study results are likely expected. Share any information with investigators at your institution and the study participants at your centre so they may be informed of results. Please ensure all local policies regarding dissemination of clinical trial results to staff and patients are followed. 

We are indebted to trial participants, physicians and other health care professionals who have contributed to the successful completion of hundreds of Canadian Cancer Trials Group trials.

A simple blood test may detect tumor relapse in patients with early-stage germ cell tumors

The interim results of the GCC.1 (S1823) study were presented at ASCO 2026 during the Genitourinary Cancer Session. The study focuses on patients with early-stage germ cell tumors and the blood biomarker microribonucleic acid (miRNA) 371a-3p (called miR371). The presence of miR371 may allow clinicians to identify patients at higher risk of relapse earlier and more accurately than current monitoring approaches.
