Canadian Cancer Trials Group Senior Investigator Dr. John Queenan received his PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from Queen’s University, where his research examined the influence of social support on quality of life and the timely diagnosis of cancer. He has over a decade of experience in patient- and family-engaged research, focusing on the psycho-social dimensions of illness, the development and validation of disease case definitions in electronic health records, and the application of statistical and machine-learning methods to chronic disease surveillance. Dr. Queenan is deeply involved in equity-driven research, contributing to improved patient experiences, care pathways, and the representation of under served populations in health research. He serves as CCTG’s Senior Investigator for Health-Related Quality of Life, Economic Analysis, and Patient and Family Engagement.
