Dr. Aaron Hansen BSc, MBBS, FRACP

CCTG Head and Neck Committee Co-Chair

Dr. Hansen is a staff medical oncologist from the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre at UHN and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, and fellow in medical oncology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, he completed a fellowship at the Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret. He is a member of the NCI recurrent metastatic head and neck cancer committee. In addition, Dr Hansen is also the Genitourinary Site Lead for Medical Oncology at Princess Margaret.

His research interests include head and neck cancers, genitourinary (GU) tumors. The main goals of his career have been to develop new anticancer therapies and to evaluate health related quality of life (HRQOL) in patients treated with immunotherapy and patient reported outcomes in both phase I patients. He has been the PI for phase I, II and III trials in head and neck and GU cancers.
