Wednesday, August 12, 2026 On behalf of the CCTG Gastrointestinal Committee please help us congratulate Dr. Michael Munger who recently enrolled his first patient to a GI study. Dr. Michael Munger is a Hematologist and Medical Oncologist at CHU de Québec–Université Laval. He completed his residency training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Université Laval, followed by a fellowship in hematologic cytogenetics at Avicenne Hospital and Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris, France. He serves as Medical Director of the Cytogenetics Laboratory at CHU de Québec. His clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and myeloproliferative neoplasms. His research interests include clinical trials in gastrointestinal oncology. His practice includes a significant focus on the management of gastrointestinal malignancies. "I am delighted to join the CCTG GI investigator community and I look forward to contributing to CCTG studies and collaborating with colleagues across Canada," says Dr Munger.
