Clinical Research Associate (CRA) Volunteers Needed for Disease Site and Executive Committees

The Canadian Cancer Trials Group is actively seeking CRA representatives from Canadian Member sites to sit on Disease Site Committee Executives as well as the CCTG CRA Executive Committee.

Disease site committees discuss proposals for new studies and considers their scientific merit and feasibility. Committees are composed of representatives from centres participating in CCTG trials. Each committee has a chair and an executive; the role of the executive is to review studies proposed by their respective site committees, and on the basis of that review, to recommend trials for consideration to the Clinical Trials Committee (CTC).

The CRA Executive Committee (CRAEC) is an advisory committee responsible for facilitating the conduct of Canadian Cancer Trials Group trials by representing the knowledge and perspective of the CRA community and by providing advice to the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Central Office in the development of Group policies. In addition, the Executive has a role in promoting the training and education of Canadian Cancer Trials Group CRAs. As an Executive Committee advisory to the Canadian Cancer Trials Group central office, the CRAEC will discuss and make recommendations on issues affecting the conduct of Canadian Cancer Trials Group trials at member centres.
