CCTG EDIIA Working Groups still accepting new members!

CCTG is still accepting members for our Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity, Indigenization, Accessibility (EDIIA) Working Groups as we strive to create a more equitable, diverse, inclusive, accessible, and culturally safe community for our network and for our patient participants.

Interested members can choose to join one of the following EDIIA Working Groups:

Design, Methodology, and Data Management: Focuses on incorporating EDIIA into research questions, how design and methodology strategies can improve access to clinical trials for equity deserving groups and historically underrepresented groups, and incorporating EDIIA into data analysis, and data governance.

Operations: Focuses on incorporating EDIIA opportunities within clinical trial operations such as recruitment and retention, participant communication, knowledge mobilization, and decentralized clinical trial processes.

Network Participation:  Focuses on decreasing barriers while increasing indigenization, accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusivity in the CCTG network including joining the network and participating in the network.

Each Working Group will meet approximately once a month for one hour. Please send an email to ediia@ctg.queensu.ca expressing your interest to join one of the Working Groups and state which Working Group you wish to join.

CCTG is striving for representation from Indigenous peoples, members of racialized groups, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, women, and persons with disabilities on each working group. Individuals who wish to self-identify as a member of an equity deserving group can self-identify in their email or, alternatively, can e-mail CCTG’s EDIIA Lead, Anna Johnson, at: ajohnson@ctg.queensu.ca with any questions, comments, or concerns regarding participation.

Individuals are not required to self-identify to join any of the Working Groups.
