Senior Investigator opening at CCTG

Interest and experience with developing and conducting cancer therapy trials

The Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) Operations and Statistical Centre (OSC), based at the Queen’s University Cancer Research Institute in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a physician with hematology or oncology training with demonstrated interest and experience with developing and cancer therapy trials.

Senior investigators work at the OSC with members of the investigational new drug and disease-specific and trial endpoint committees, which have national investigator leadership and membership, to develop and implement the CCTG clinical trials research agenda.

Current priority areas of research are evaluating precision medicine and immune oncology approaches, and the development and inclusion of patient focused and economic outcomes in trials. Senior investigator responsibilities include development and refinement of trial questions, oversight of trial development, conduct and analysis as part of the trial team. Senior investigators are also responsible for developing scientific agenda and specific trials, securing funding and investigational agents via grants and contract agreements to support the study conduct.
