New CCTG EDIIA Working Groups are looking for members

CCTG is looking for members for our Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity, Indigenization, and Accessibility (EDIIA) Working Groups as part of our EDIIA Action Plan. CCTG strives to create an equitable, diverse, inclusive, accessible, and culturally safe community for our network and for patients.

Members can choose to join one of the EDIIA Working Groups. Below is a description of each working group.

Design, Methodology, and Data Management: will focus on incorporating EDIIA into research questions, how design and methodology strategies can improve access to clinical trials for equity deserving groups, and incorporating EDIIA into data analysis, data storage, and results dissemination.

Operations: will focus on EDIIA opportunities within clinical trial operations such as recruitment and retention, patient communication, and decentralized clinical trial processes.

Network Participation: will focus on decreasing barriers while increasing inclusivity to joining and participating in the CCTG network.

Each Working Group will meet approximately one to two times a month. Please send an email to ediia@ctg.queensu.ca expressing your interest to join one of the Working Groups and state which Working Group you wish to join.

CCTG is striving for representation from Indigenous peoples, members of racialized groups, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, women, and persons with disabilities on each working group. Individuals who wish to self-identify as a member of an equity deserving group can self-identify in their email or, alternatively, can e-mail CCTG’s EDIIA Lead, Anna Johnson, at: ajohnson@ctg.queensu.ca with any questions, comments, or concerns regarding participation.

Individuals are not required to self-identify to join any of the Working Groups.
