Canadian Cancer Trials Group's Lost to Follow-Up Policy

Protocol-specified follow-up of participants enrolled on study is critical to the conduct and analysis of our clinical trials. From time to time, it may be difficult to obtain follow-up despite attempts to do so. Canadian Cancer Trials Group has developed a new Lost to Follow-Up Policy that we are now pleased to roll out to centres. A participant who is considered to be "Lost to Follow-Up" refers to a study participant who, despite 3 or more attempts over a period of 2 or more years, cannot be contacted for protocol-mandated follow-up. Lost to Follow Up case report forms for both paper trials and EDC trials have also been developed. These forms are available for paper trials immediately and will be available for EDC trials over the next two weeks.

Information on this policy will be presented at the Clinical Research Associates Committee Meeting at the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Spring Meeting or Participants. In the meantime if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the relevant trial teams.
