Canadian Cancer Trials Group Bulletins

General

CCCTN and Canadian Participating Centres

Dr. Ralph Meyer, Director of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group, encourages all of its Canadian member centres to support the recently-announced Canadian Partnership Against Cancer initiative -- Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network.

As Elizabeth Eisenhauer discussed at the Cosbie Lecture at the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Annual Spring Meeting, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer has developed an initiative for a Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network. The purpose of this network is to assist institutions with funding and systematic processes in order to facilitate conduct of multi-centre academic cancer clinical trials. The success of this initiative will be enormously helpful to academic networks such as the Canadian Cancer Trials Group, Princess Margaret Hospital Consortium, Ontario Clinical Oncology Group, and others.

A memorandum was recently sent to Centre Representatives and Contact Clinical Research Associates at all of the Group's Canadian member centres.

We would like to share this memorandum with all staff at these centres. Here is a link to Dr. Meyer's memo ... http://www.ctg.queensu.ca/private/notices/MEMOMay162013RMeyer.pdf.
