Canadian Cancer Trials Group CO.20 -- A Phase III Randomized Study of Brivanib Alaninate (BMS-582664) in Combination with Cetuximab (Erbitux) Versus Placebo in Combination with Cetuximab (Erbitux) in Patients With K-Ras Wild Type Tumours Previously Treated With Combination Chemotherapy for Metastatic Colorectal Carcinoma

Results of the final analysis of Canadian Cancer Trials Group CO.20 were recently published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. The authors conclude that, despite positive effects on progression-free survival and objective response, cetuximab plus brivanib increased toxicity and did not significantly improve overall survival in patients with metastatic, chemotherapy-refractory, wild-type K-RAS colorectal cancer.
