Reminder: Health Canada Division 5 and GCP V2

Just a quick reminder that the NEW Health Canada Division 5 Training Program and updated GCP Training Program will be implemented March 2, 2015. This was previously communicated in the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Bulletin on February 13, 2015.

Key things to know about Division 5 Training:
  • All Canadian Cancer Trials Group staff and centre personnel participating in Canadian Cancer Trials Group trials with an active role must complete training on the Canadian Food and Drug Act Part C Division 5.
  • Division 5 training will be required by June 01, 2015. An additional 3-month grace period will be given for centre personnel, however after Sep 01, 2015, completion of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Division 5 training program or an approved alternative will be required to maintain active status.
  • Following the roll-out of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group Division 5 training program in March, Canadian Cancer Trials Group will be evaluating other Division 5 training programs to determine if acceptable as equivalent training. More information about the process for the evaluation of alternative programs will be communicated to Canadian Cancer Trials Group member centres in March.
