CTEP transition of SAE reporting from AdEERS to CTEP-AERS

Further to the information provided to you in late November, CTEP has announced that its CTEP-AERS system for SAE reporting has been totally functional since January 1, 2014 and can now be used in place of AdEERS. Full transition to CTEP-AERS is expected by March 1, 2014. Formal protocol amendment information will be forthcoming, but is NOT required prior to CTEP-AERS use.

This will affect all trials currently using AdEERS but NOT using Medidata Rave. It does not affect any Canadian Cancer Trials Group-led CTEP-affiliated trials as these are not currently using the AdEERS system. However, many CTEP-affiliated Intergroup-led trials will be affected.

If you encounter any issues with CTEP-AERS, please contact the CTEP help desk immediately for resolution:

CTEP continues to conduct three weekly Web Ex trainings on CTEP-AERS over the coming months. Each training will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes (or less) and will go over the chief differences between the CTEP-AERS and AdEERS. Training registration and other training materials and presentations are available on the CTEP-AERS page of the CTEP-website:

Please contact Shanda Finnigan ( with any questions regarding the training sessions or CTEP-AERS.
