GCP Refresher Training and Composite Certificates

Education on Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is a requirement of clinical trial participants. As such, Canadian Cancer Trials Group developed an online GCP Training program for participants in 2007. Canadian Cancer Trials Group's web-based modular GCP training system and details of training requirements can be accessed via links found on the main member's area of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group website (http://www.ctg.queensu.ca/private/private.htm).

Originally upon completion of each GCP training module a separate training certificate was provided to participants. A composite GCP certificate documenting all modules completed can be accessed by participants via the 'Certificates' link on the main menu of the web-based GCP training system. Centre Representatives and Contact CRAs can also access composite GCP certificates for all participants at their centre. Specific instructions for accessing composite certificates are outlined below.

In addition, while GCP re-training is not currently a requirement of Canadian Cancer Trials Group as sponsor, we understand it may be required by other sponsors. To accommodate these requirements, please note that the Canadian Cancer Trials Group web-based GCP training system allows participants to complete re-training using existing GCP modules if needed. The composite GCP certificates referenced above will itemize all training dates to facilitate documentation of re-training.
